Solder preforms are used in the manufacture of power electronics and sensors to eliminate the need for flux and ensure clean, reliable connections. Infotech's preform assembly system automates the feeding and processing of solder preforms directly from the roll. This offers a more efficient alternative to precut shapes in trays.

Flexible feeding and reliable placement

The system can be equipped with up to four feed units that cut preforms of various widths to the desired length. Up to four placement heads precisely place the preforms on the substrate, supported by continuous image processing for maximum process control. The feed units can be replaced during operation and prepared for use at an external setup station.
